As the Clinical Nurse – Anaesthesia Research, you are responsible for providing support to the Anaesthesia health care team through the management of a portfolio in research. Your duties include recruitment of patients, coordinating care of the patients, observing and collecting data from the patient relevant to the research project. This is a research role which requires collation of data/investigations, data entry, clinical review, preparation and management of equipment and handling and preparation of laboratory specimens. You will be responsible for data collection and liaison with interstate coordinators and local participants. You may also be involved in the development of new research project proposals including ethics committee applications.

As the Clinical Nurse – Anaesthesia Research, you are accountable for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. You will play a key role in identification, delivery and evaluation of research outcomes and work in collaboration with other health professionals and agencies in partnership with patients and their families to ensure optimum production of high quality and health-oriented research data.

To be suitable for this role you will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to foster productive working relationships across disciplines, competent administrative and record keeping skills and demonstrated initiative, flexibility and creativity.

This is a part-time vacancy working 7.6 hours per week and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
