About the role

We are currently seeking a Storeperson to join the Warehouse & Distribution team in Currumbin. Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor, this role with see you working be responsible for stock control, picking and packing of facility and network consumables, data entry and provide operational support across the branch where required.

Key responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the coordination business consumables, PPE and uniform distribution
  • Play a leading role in Inventory Controls of consumables within Currumbin & branch network.
  • Process any relevant paperwork including but not limited to, packing slips
  • Manage, minimise and control scrap and rework of material
  • Provide assistance as required with operational support in the branch, including stock orders and cycle counts
  • Learn and understand the operation and management of the large and small Bandsaw
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the other key roles in the team, to enable you to support their responsibilities in their absence
  • Seek opportunities for improvements in processes, take ownership of ideas and manage through to implementation where applicable
  • Always ensure safe working practices are follow
  • Provide support to branch network where required
  • Comply with all HR and Compliance procedures and policies
  • Undertake other duties and/or projects as required
About you
  • Warehousing/distribution/factory experience essential
  • Must have a current forklift license
  • Good administration experience including the use and knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
