Our Client


Our client is a rapidly growing FMCG organisation that has developed a name of innovative, healthy and delicious food! To aide in their current growth, the business is on the lookout for a commercial/category thinking product developer.


Role


The NPD & Innovation Manager will drive the insights-led development of global innovation pipelines across the businesses brands within multiple categories in the grocery and P&C channels across both Australian and USA markets. This role will heavily prioritise white space innovation, whilst still looking for opportunities for line extensions and expansion into new categories to deliver growth beyond our existing core portfolio and range.


You will ensure that the business has a clear understanding of the development frameworks and will role model what excellence looks like.


The ideal candidate will thrive leading NPD within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment that identifies and responds to opportunities for business growth across multiple channels.


Key responsibilities include;

  • Leading NPD from concept to delivery, this will include business cases and testing.
  • Identifying key market opportunities and customer insights.
  • Implement and develop quality controls in the testing and production of new products.
  • Manage multiple new product projects, including a focus packaging, regulatory and labelling requirements according to FSANZ.
  • Development of customer led, long term innovation pipelines in line with the overall business objectives.


Skills Required


  • Tertiary qualification in a food science or food technology related discipline is highly desirable.
  • 3 - 5 + years’ experience within a product development role within a food or beverage environment.
  • Experience at a retailer like Coles or Woolworths would be looked upon favourably.
  • Proven project management and planning skills with a focus on managing multiple projects.
  • Experience in working with suppliers to develop and deliver new products.
  • Proven Success in the development and implementation of new product from concept to delivery.
  • A team player, who wants to work in a friendly culture with a focus on pleasing the customer.
