About The Role

The Scaled Sales Process & Automation Manager will be critical to transforming how we bring new merchants onto Uber Eats, and enable their success on the platform. Using your process optimisation & expert technical skills, you’ll be tasked with transforming our acquisition journey from one reliant on manual work, to one with seamless, compliant, automated back end processes, and delightful customer experiences. Your work will contribute to improving the conversion rate of restaurants joining Uber Eats, speed up our processes, and prepare Uber Eats sales for further scaled growth across acquisition. You’ll also set & drive initiatives to bring proactive & automated communications to our merchants, to ensure every merchant is enabled to be successful with Uber Eats.

What You’ll Do

  • Review & take ownership of all backend processes associated with the acquisition of a new merchant, through scaled channels, to Uber Eats (prior to onboarding)
  • Re-design processes for scale, design automated solutions, & implement them seamlessly. Partner with others on the team to ensure human & automated systems come together effectively
  • Provide thought leadership on how automation can improve the direct customer experience. Partner with our Engagement Lead to define opportunities, and deliver automated interactions in a delightful way, with the goal of boosting NPS & merchant commercial performance on the platform
  • Put in place rigourous and sound processes to ensure processes & automations run effectively and fast escalation channels are in place for failures
  • Engage with regional engineering teams to ensure automation & processes align with and complement product roadmaps & engineering platforms where relevant

What You’ll Need

This is a technical, specialised role, suited to somebody with a strong programming background paired with high commercial acumen & a can-do attitude
  • 3+ years experience working in a service delivery consulting teams or similar, with strong technical background
  • Comp Sci / software engineering background
  • Track record of process automation
  • Versed in Python, SQL and one or more of the following programming languages (Java, Go, C/C++/C#, HTML/CSS)
  • Process improvements - finding gaps and improving them
  • Data-engineering, architecture and API integration experience
  • BA and process mapping skills with strong understanding of the customer
  • Experience researching, evaluating and recommending third party software
  • Ability to pivot data sets & present analyses eg through Tableau
  • Business acumen - ability to identify key metrics associated with your processes, and the initiative to drive improvements where you identify them
  • Stakeholder management skills - you’ll work closely with teams in sales operations, merchant operations & onboarding
  • A superb team player. We’re building something new here, and we will drive and share our successes as a team
