Role Overview
- Ensure accurate estimates of the total cost of defects and minor works projects are completed on time and in accordance with required technical standards
- Create and quote reactive works across all areas of the Fire business through tools and systems provided (Quoting Tool).
- Continuously update and maintain the Service Department defects register and documentation.
- Key focus on Existing contracts as a high priority, and also pursue advertisements, leads and client enquires with the goal of creation of work.
- Sub-contractor management
- Conduct site surveys if required for minor works
- Provide technical inputs to ensure the timely completion of estimates
- For non-design and construct projects:
- Send out for contractor tenders. Coordinate and construct with use of business templates pre issue for approval

- Ensure accurate and effective plant and equipment, and other materials are used for the required work.
- Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends – update and implement as required.
- Set up , assemble a costing and a contract file for each new project as received.
Requirements to be successful
- Experience in fire protection
- Service estimating skills required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the operations / delivery of small work / projects
- Knowledge and understanding of site functions
- Good relational skills
- Great customer facing skills
- Attention to detail
- Good level of skills using Excel and Word
