PTA Level 5 range: $99,164 pa to $111,494 pa (plus 9.50% super)

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in this challenging and strategically critical position of Senior Executive Assistant you will provide a broad range of high-level of advice and business support to the CEO and coordinate the flow of information in the Office of the CEO.

Specific duties and accountabilities of the Senior Executive Assistant position will include:


• Manage and coordinate matters raised and generated by the CEO ensuring that all tasks are dealt with in a timely manner and stakeholder expectations are effectively managed.


• Manage and prioritise organisational advice submitted to, or required by, the CEO on key strategic, reputational and policy matters.


• Manage and coordinate the organisation's communications to and from the Office of the CEO,
working closely with CFA management to ensure that all communications consistently reflect the strategic direction, policies and values of the organisation and Government.


• Work closely with the Communications and Stakeholder Relations Directorate on media related matters and in the preparation of CEO speeches and presentation materials.


• Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external networks to enable timely and appropriate communications on the CEO's behalf.


• Research and analyse issues on as required by the CEO's behalf, facilitating resolution as appropriate or bringing considered proposals for discussion with the CEO


• Support the CEO at internal and external meetings as required, ensuring appropriate information and input is provided; prepare meeting notes and brief the CEO, ensuring a coordinated approach to any required action.

The Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO operates within a complex and highly sensitive environment and the position must ensure that appropriate confidentiality and discretion is applied at all times.

About You:

To succeed in this position, you will be an experienced Senior Executive Assistant with demonstrated experience supporting senior executive leaders. You will bring extensive experience in government policy, administration or other relevant area, including working with and providing advice at a senior level, with sound judgement and expertise managing sensitive and high-risk activities within a large and complex organisation.

To complement your exceptional organisational, analytical and planning skills, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to build and improve systems, processes and quality assurance mechanisms. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills ensuring that you represent the Office of the CEO in a professional manner.
