Part of the CSR family, our Construction Systems Business Unit comprises of Cemintel™ Fibre Cement Systems, CSR Hebel and AFS Walling solutions. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems that cover internal linings, residential and commercial façades, flooring, and innovative proprietary wall and framing systems.

The Opportunity

We are searching for a Residential Business Development Manager to join our NSW sales team in Sydney. Reporting into the Residential Sales Manager NSW, your main responsibility will be to grow our market share of our product portfolio in the NSW residential detached and low level multi-residential construction segments.

This position will be perfect for a sales professional who is driven, loves the chase of sales to grow market share and is strategic with their approach to customers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Grow share of customer across the Construction Systems portfolio
  • Manage the sales channel to achieve sales goal of sales growth and margin enhancement - grow our share of the NSW residential detached and low level multi-residential construction segments
  • Support sales and marketing teams in gaining market insights and new product market penetration
  • Build rapport and insights with key customers and explore and follow through on opportunities across other CSR divisions for NSW residential builders
  • Develop and implement growth plans with key customers and new customers targets that result in continuous share of wallet growth across the product portfolio.
  • Be aware of competitor activities (pricing, channel to market, agreement support) and share across the sales team
  • Support a culture of collaboration across the NSW sales team – share leads and support each other

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications

  • Trade, Engineering, Business or Construction qualifications ideal
  • A minimum of 5 years residential construction sales experience
  • Able to influence and negotiate commercial outcomes that secures sales growth at highest possible margin
  • Successful management of channels to market, namely through residential builders, designers and contractors
  • A personality that is conducive to developing productive partnerships with individuals and groups across the business and external to the business. 
  • A natural flair for interpreting technical elements of products and provide support to customers and contractors as required
