JOB DESCRIPTION

Auto Control Systems (ACS) is a medium sized Perth based company that specialises in industrial automation, control systems and services. We engineer, build and manage process and control systems for some of the largest mining, oil & gas and manufacturing companies in Australia and across the world and can supply anything from spare parts through to complete turnkey systems. We pride ourselves on providing automated solutions that increase productivity, reduce overheads and maximise return on investment for all of our clients. 


Applications are sought for an Accountant who will assist us in growing our presence in the market, who works well in a small accounting team and has a desire to explore options for continuous improvement. 

Responsibilities

  • Monthly preparation of financial reports
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Manage and prepare statutory returns including BAS, PAYG, FBT, PAYG Instalments, Payroll Tax, ASIC returns 
  • Manage and coordinate annual income tax and R&D returns
  • Maintain Asset Register
  • Internal analysis and reporting as required
  • Budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Oversee accounts team and processes 
  • Process improvements
  • Projects work as and when required
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and assist as required


  • Key Education and Skills Requirement

    • 2-4 years’ experience in similar role
    • Commerce Degree majoring in accounting 
    • Enthusiastic and motivated to improve processes and systems
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    • Effective and engaging communicator
    • Must be able to maintain discretion and maintain confidentiality
    • Excellent in Excel Word and Outlook 
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills 
    • Pro-active work ethic
    • Professional both in presentation and manner
    • Can work well both independently and as a valued team member
