To manage functional teams delivering housing intake and assessment, tenancy management and property management advice and services directly to clients in person over the front counter, by telephone, correspondence, in the field and through outreach services in the community by:
• Ensuring community and other housing providers allocate properties to clients on the social housing register.
• Taking responsibility for managing teams, including work planning, team management, application of financial and human resources delegations, workflow management within functional teams to ensure appropriate and efficient service delivery, and monitoring, analysing and reporting on key performance indicators.
• Developing and maintaining professional and productive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate improved client outcomes and processes.
• Managing substantial maintenance and upgrade programs and budgets, undertaking debt reviews, reviewing appeal decisions and preparing Ministerial and high-level briefs and correspondence in response to complaints or complex issues.
• Working intensively with one or more Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Councils to build effective relationships between the Council and the department.
• Ensuring secretariat functions for the Tenant's Advisory Groups are supported as required.
• Analysing financial data to identify risks and issues for resolution with Councils and clients.

This position is now part of the newly formed Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport
