We are looking for an experienced and relationship focused Human Resources Business Partner who thrives in a busy and productive environment.

You’re someone who is passionate about building partnerships, translating organisational strategy into action. You’ll play a key role in supporting the business to drive high performance and build workforce capability.

About the role

With portfolio ownership, you will implement strategic HR capability to partner with the business, to understand and support business priorities.

With your solid HR background, you’ll coach and support the business in leading and managing their people through a broad range of HR areas including performance planning, employee and industrial relations, and recruitment.

With the courage to challenge the status quo, you will drive partnerships, build on already strong relationships between HR and the business, provide guidance to managers in relation to ER matters including performance management, equal opportunity, workplace conduct and investigations.


About you

You’ll have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and demonstrate true leadership qualities, having the ability to influence and engage others at all levels.

You have excellent communication skills and you build strong relationships with partners and people.

You’re an expert in HR policy and legislation, as well as a creative problem solver.

Working as part of a team, you are flexible and can also work autonomously, contributing to the overall team goal.

Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, you work across multiple groups and departments operating in a range of disciplines.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field including extensive relevant work experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment law and legislation, including ability to interpret legislation and other employment related instruments.
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in resolution of employee issues and case management.
  • Strong ability and confidence to coach and provide advice to senior leaders.
  • Ability to analyse problems, develop solutions and to work across a broad range of HR functions.
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
  • A pre-employment medical (including a health, drug and alcohol assessment) may be required.
