The Client

We are proud to partner with a Global Consulting firm to look for an IBM Sterling OMS Consultant for a leading organisation.


  • Responsible for solution design of IBM Sterling OMS implementation
  • Leading and/or guiding development of key Solution Design Artefacts, e.g. System Design document and External Interface Design documents
  • Mentor and provide guidance to project delivery resources in the team, both onsite and offshore
  • Participate in design reviews with the client, project delivery team
  • Manage Business workshops and drive functional requirements
  • Craft the technology and architecture vision and roadmap required for driving the clients' enterprise transformation
  • Partner with other technical teams (middleware, database, infrastructure, etc.), create interface documents and mappings to ensure that the OMS is integrated with the overall solution landscape
  • Work with the Architects from the Client's side to guide them on capabilities of Sterling OMS and act as a trusted advisor/ SME

Skills Required include:

  • Around 5 years' experience in IBM Sterling Order Management or Sterling Store Add On
  • Experience in IBM Order Management SAAS / IBM order management on-prem v9.5 implementation for Retail/Telco customers
  • Should have a strong hands-on background in the IBM Sterling Order Management capabilities (Sterling Distributed Order Management, Selling and Fulfilment, Global Inventory Visibility, Reverse Logistics, Supply Collaboration)
  • Experience in designing & building complex fulfilment processes in IBM Sterling Commerce
  • Very strong technical skills with a focus on J2EE, XML, Java, JavaScript, JSP & SQL
  • Experience and understanding of new and upcoming technology trends - API / Micro-services, Agile / Dev-Ops, CI / CD
  • Have an excellent analytical thought process and ability to build innovation-led solutions & business models
