JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client one of the Australian iconic Enterprise is seeking a Instructional Designer. This is a 12-month contract with views of extensions!

You will be part of a project involving relevant customer channels to provide Learning Design and Development expertise for the replacement of the current Point of Sale across various sites, building the learning solutions as part of the learning team and working on the implementation for hardware and software rollout.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and working in conjunction with the existing Training team to manage: the design and development of training programs, implementing training programs and overseeing the administration, facilitation and resourcing for the delivery of agreed training
  • Develop, plan, prepare and produce learning packages to assist the successful deployment of the program
  • Building, developing and maintaining meaningful stakeholder relationships.
  • Working with and supporting the Learning & Development Enterprise model to ensure modern learning design thinking is applied and learning interventions are achieving the required business results

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as an Instructional designer or Technical writer preferably in the Retail space
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in learning design
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of adult learning and design principles including current knowledge of emergent learning trends, particularly the educational application of social media, mobile technologies and rich media collaboration
  • A background in online/eLearning (not just paper based) would be valuable
  • Knowledge and experience of Learning Management Systems, performance support systems and other technology that supports learning in a complex enterprise
  • Demonstrated working experience in the design and development of systems learning and reference material
  • Developing and delivering learning for operational staff
  • Has applied the ADDIE methodology in developing learning content
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing learning for large technology programs in large corporate organisations
  • Facilitation and face-to-face learning skills (desirable)
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work independently and in a team with a strong team player mindset
  • Strong analytical and very good attention to detail skills
  • Ability to think and write clearly, with strong editing and proof reading skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in working to tight deadlines
