An exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's leading FMCG companies. Due to current and projected growth, my client is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant located at their Melbourne CBD office for a 12-month contract with a potential for permanency.

Recent acquisitions in the business have created a requirement for a Financial Accountant to join the high performing finance team.

Description

The Financial Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller and the main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Month-end preparation and reporting
• Main point-of-contact for the auditors
• Prepare statutory accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting with variance analysis
• ATO, ASIC and State Revenue compliance
• Consolidation and inter-company accounting
• Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Assisting the Finance Manager and the Finance & Operations Manager in preparing ad-hoc financial presentations and projects.

Profile

What you will bring to the table:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance
• CA/CPA Qualification
• Strong excel skills
• Experience with SAP highly regarded
• Experience in the Big-4 or mid-tier accounting firms preferred
• Ability to liaise with many key internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
