Department Overview

The Sales Organisation helps Mining and Energy customers to achieve transformational business results from mobile enterprise communication and public safety systems.

The goal of the team is to engage key customers to:
  • Lead mobile architecture and strategy for the sector
  • Conceptualize, develop and scale mobility solutions for customers
  • Develop executable pathways for successful implementation and scale for critical radio communications network ,software and video and analytical solutions

Critical to this role is strong sales competency in enterprise data/software practical experience, customer engagement, collaboration and drive.


Job Description

Manages field sales teams responsible for sales, strategic acct planning, overall realtionship mgmt, new and existing accts, dev a comprehensive sales plan, full portfolio of solutions products.


Basic Requirements

Your authorities will include:

Prioritization of all sales activities, approval for all customer proposals, marketing and pilot/demonstration activities, opex management

You will be responsible for:

Lead the team to provide compelling solutions to the sector across the sector

This includes a portfolio of infrastructure, devices, applications, services and 3rd party partner offerings. Deliver all key business goals including orders, revenue and customer satisfaction/loyalty.

Leading a customer centric philosophy

Leadership for all sales activities – from tactical run rate business to major opportunity management Executive level engagement across customer base

Provide leadership in the Motorola Sales Way (Miller Heimann customization)

Regular & accurate business forecasting – orders, revenue, supply chain demand Lead long range planning process for annual/3 year outlook

Management of customers pricing regime

Collaboration with presales and delivery organizations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty

Engagement with regional and global support teams – product, finance, quality and supply chain teams to ensure customer outcomes are met

Monitor competitors’ products, including relevant sales and marketing data

Work closely with the International Commercial Team to develop joint global accounts People and Culture – talent management for direct team, I&D metrics, sales competency learning Facilitating thought leadership forums with customers – example: innovation, inclusion and diversity
