SGS Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Energy Minerals team. In Australia, our Energy Minerals business is a leading provider of coal testing, analysis and expert advice.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all preventative sampler maintenance is performed in and as per client requirements
• Ensure all client safety requirements are followed
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on Automatic Samplers
• Liaison with clients about samples
• Ensure cost effectiveness of all maintenance contracts
• Provide timely response to client request
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on laboratory and preparation equipment
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
• Working at Heights
• MDG25
• Coal Board Medical
• Confined Space
• Class C Full Manual Drivers Licence
• Technical and professional knowledge
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Be customer service orientated
• Reliable attendance record
• Able to work flexible hours
• Knowledge of Mechanical Sampling Systems preferred
