About the Role:

Allity is currently seeking a highly experienced accounts receivable officer with at least 2 years residential aged care industry experience. The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for taking full ownership of the resident billing cycle from admission to departure including debt collection, along with supporting activities for assigned Aged Care Homes. This position contributes to the overall performance of the finance department by ensuring an accurate and timely process throughout the generation of all resident fees and charges, management of payments and receipts, debt collection letters and phone calls.

The accounts receivable officer is motivated to provide exceptional customer service to our residents and support the administration teams in the homes, consistent with Allity’s vision of making every day the best it can be. In addition, the role interacts closely with the reconciliation of Medicare Funding to the residents records to align resident billing accurately, as well involvement with the monthly reporting cycle as required.

  • Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Accurate and timely delivery of:
  • Management of Billing Cycle for assigned Homes
  • Responsible for the delivery of Billing services in line with department and agreed processes
  • Billing Query Management
  • Responsible for management and resolution of all billing queries for assigned Homes
  • Develop and maintain co-operative professional relationships with General Managers, Staff, Residents/Families/PoA through providing accurate and timely billing services and effective query management

About You

You will possess the following:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting qualifications or studying preferred
  • Residential aged care billing experience essential
  • Customer service oriented with demonstrated experience in successfully delivering customer service outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in a high volume computerised Accounts environment
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience within Dynamics (Trax) environment desirable
  • Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Strong account reconciliation skills
  • Strong data processing skills
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative
