Title: Parking Officer, Temporary - Part-time Role, 19 hours per fortnight
Salary Range: $56,224.99 to $65,342.84 per annum + super (subject to skills and experiences)

Northern Beaches Council was created in 2016 through the three councils of Manly, Pittwater and Warringah coming together to deliver the highest quality services to the community. Role Purpose
As a member of the Ranger Services Team you will ensure that you provide an efficient and effective service consistent with the enforcement of relevant legislation (particularly the NSW Road Rules 2014) and Council policies relating to the safe, proper and lawful use of roads, parking areas and on street parking. Reporting to the Coordinator, the Parking Officer will provide the community with a high quality, accurate and professional customer service in accordance with Council values and community expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- To enforce legislation and Council policies, provide information to the public and staff, issue penalty notices and attend court proceeding when required.
- To carry out patrols and enforce compliance of on street parking legislation including school safety zones, residential zones, and all time limited and metered parking areas within the Northern Beaches Council area.
- To investigate and act upon complaints relating to parking matters or other matters as directed by Management.
- To provide assistance to Police, other authorities, beach inspectors and staff in the enforcement of legislation relating to parking matters.
- Make decisions regarding the legality of activities in so far as relevant legislation and policies are concerned.
- Undertake broader Ranger duties when require.
