Manager - Communications and Events
About the Role
Bring a fresh perspective to the development and implementation of communications and events initiatives for this growing organisation, which will see you developing strategy and managing the delivery of key events throughout the year. Reporting directly to a forward-thinking and compassionate Chief Executive Officer, you will be joining a collaborative and creative team environment in a role that provides plenty of opportunity for the right person.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design and implement an organisational marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy and key organisational priorities
Develop an internal communications strategy to enhance existing engagement levels across the organisation
Drive the planning and delivery of key events programs throughout the year
Establish positive and productive working relationships with business leaders across the organisation to support their marketing and communications needs
Develop and implement key metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies
Lead, coach and mentor the communications and events team
Skills & Experience required
Demonstrated experience in strategy development, along with the willingness to work in a hands-on, operational capacity
Experience with the leading, coaching and development of staff
Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills as it relates to running large events programs, where the ability to problem solve and think on your feet is essential
Highly developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
A positive and flexible attitude towards changing priorities, along with a willingness to help others
