About the business
Granular Products is a niche Australian owned company with a new purpose-built, state of the art manufacturing facility in Rockhampton and head office and R&D facility located in Orange, NSW. Through their extensive history and background in agriculture, the business is committed to the production and supply of high-quality granular products to assist in the management of invasive plants as well as their ongoing dedication to research and development.

About the role
As a direct result of business growth, Granular Products are currently seeking a National Sales Manager to lead, support and develop a team of four (4) sales consultants with the overall responsibility for retaining and delivering new business and customer growth through continuous improvement of service quality and sales management.

Reporting directly to the management team this newly created strategic position will play a key role between Granular Products and its customers, also providing specialist product advice and support to a range of clients including rural resellers (local as well as state and nationally based), head office, graziers and aerial operators.

Skills and attributes
Key skills and attributes being sought are:
  • 10 plus years relevant commercial agricultural industry experience ideally with exposure and an understanding of the beef and pasture sector
  • Established networks in rural retail distribution across multiple levels
  • Proven successful team leadership in managing a results focussed sales team with a hands-on, inclusive management style
  • Highly developed relationship building skills with a passion for providing outstanding customer service and the ability to identify opportunities in the market
  • An entrepreneurial but strategic approach with outstanding interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Honesty, integrity and a strong desire to succeed
  • Tertiary qualifications in an agri related discipline will also be highly regarded
