Position title: Finance Administrator (PD C2923)
Position number/s: 20020269 (Full Time, ongoing) & 20003714 (Full time, fixed term for six months from commencement date, possibility of further extension)
North West Metro Finance Department is currently seeking to appoint 2 Finance Officers, one ongoing and one fixed term to join their busy team.
Your usual place of work will be within the Business Services Division, Financial Services Unit, Victoria Police Centre (VPC), 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
About the role:
North West Metro Finance Officers liaise with the Departments & Regions in providing guidance on all the purchasing & procurement activities and booking travel & accommodation.
They are responsible for financial administration & regulatory processes, accounting/implementing the financial policies and procedures, monthly reporting and analysis.
Your duties will include:
As a successful applicant, some of your duties will include to perform a broad range of financial, purchasing and asset administration transactional activities within a busy Metropolitan Police Region.
You will undertake standard processing work such as payment of invoices, purchasing, and analysing various financial reports using Oracle and Microsoft Suite.
You will be required to manage consolidated accounts and undertake Journals and expenditure transfers.
Finance administrator will be required to liaise with internal and external clients, arrange travel and accommodation and manage the regional vehicle fleet and tele-communication account.
As a successful applicant, you will have:
Ability to maintain systematic and accurate financial and administrative records
Good computer skills, particularly in relation to Oracle, Excel and all other relevant Microsoft Suites
Knowledge of Financial policies and procedures
Excellent Communication Skill and ability to liaise with stakeholders, clients and external providers of goods and services
Commitment and achievement in meeting a high level of customer service to all clients
Willing to develop knowledge of established techniques and organisational processes
Collecting and collating large amount of data and undertakes analysis to prepare reports
Ability in the prioritisation of work with minimal supervision
Requirements and relevant information:
Position tenure: One (1) full time, ongoing position
One (1) full time, fixed term position for six months from commencement date and may
be extended further.
Position will be located at Victoria Police Centre (VPC) 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
