Your Role
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of technically competent claims management decisions through factual and medical investigations, conveying decisions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. You will be responsible for establishing processes, tools and templates to ensure consistent and high-quality decision-making across technically challenging aspect of claims management. Additionally, you will act in a coaching and mentoring role to upskill and improve technical capability across the business.

You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:
Drive a behaviour within the business of technical excellence and strategic claims management decision making.
Driving and influencing behaviours within the team, ensuring high quality of standards is adhered to across all aspects of claims management (e.g. noise-induced hearing loss, eligibility decisions, calculation of NEW, WPI assessment etc)
Develop, set and deliver high level of technical and service performance in order to achieve Scheme objectives
Demonstrate strong and consistent personal leadership
Ensure decisions-making is in line with legislation, case law and RTWSA's expectations
Providing technical decision-making support to other business units
Participate in audits and reviews as a technical specialist to identify areas of improvement
Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with RTWSA and our Legal Panel

We're interested in hearing from people who possess:
Bachelor of Law
Proven Legal experience in personal injury insurance
Developed technical knowledge regarding clams' strategies and determinations
Working knowledge of the Return to Work Act 2014, subordinate legislation and case law
Strong understanding of medical terminology
Negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to develop and deliver training
Proven ability to build and maintain sound relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
