On behalf our client, who is a WA-based ASX listed gold producer, we are currently seeking an experienced Mine Geologist to assist with the start-up operations. This role will report to the Senior Mine Geologist and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of surface production.

Role duties:

• Demonstrate safety leadership and a commitment to a zero-harm culture
• Provide supervision and technical support to Mine Geologists for mapping, geology modelling, and mining
• Work closely with the mine technical teams to ensure optimal ore block design, blasting and extraction practises
• Optimise mill performance through effective stockpile management
• Manage drill planning, scheduling and contractor management
• Ensure daily reconciliations are completed and assist with monthly and resource versus reserve reconciliation reporting
• Complete project work as required
• Promote strong working relationships between the Geology Team and other departments, including contractors

Preferred candidates will be required to have:

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology
• Have relevant Open Pit mining and gold experience, ideally 4+ years preferred
• Experience with 3D mining software
• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• C Class Driver’s licence (manual)
