The Child Development Institute is currently looking for a Centre Co-ordinator to join their wonderful Autism specific early intervention service in Northmead. 

The Child Development Institute is an AUTISM SPECIFIC early intervention centre for children aged 2 – 5 years. They deliver the Early Start Denver Model, an evidence-based intervention specifically developed for young children with autism. Programs delivered within the centre include group programs, clinics, school readiness and parent coaching. They also offer programs external to the centre, coaching Educators at Early Childhood Services, to build their skills to support children with Autism.
 
About the Role: 
 
In this role you will lead the Operational aspects of the centre, working closely with the centre Clinical Manager and the Centre Administrator. You will report to the Operations Manager who oversees 2 centres.

This is a Monday - Friday role, but with shorter working hours of 8.45am–3pm.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing relationships with families enrolled in our programs
  • Managing the enrolment and re-enrolment processes for new and existing children
  • Co-ordinating family events and communication eg. Newsletters
  • Facilitating parent tours
  • Gathering regular customer feedback from families
  • Facilities management
  • Management of centre budgets
  • Implementation of policies and procedures in every day operations
  • Staff scheduling
  • Co-ordinating the NDIS process for families
  • Direct line manager of the Centre Administrator

About You: 

  • Possess exceptional communication and administration skills
  • Have three years experience working in Early Childhood Education within a leadership or coordination role 
  • Have excellent rapport and relationship building skills with families
  • Are an enthusiastic team-player looking to join a co-operative team
  • Are process driven and solutions focused
  • Have excellent computer skills particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Have the ability to manage time and set priorities
  • Are committed to supporting families who are navigating through a challenging time in their life
