Executive Manager, Regulatory Change Governance

How will I help?

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Change and Obligation, the Executive Manager will oversee the regulatory pipeline by identifying and monitoring upcoming regulatory changes. You will be the link between group regulatory compliance objectives and divisional business units implementing transformation programs by guiding the development of delivery solutions to provide timely and sustainable compliance outcomes.

You will review the regulatory horizon to identify upcoming and new regulation prioritised as “must do”. You will provide insights on applicability of regulation to business units, identifying scope, impacts and potential owners to lead emerging regulatory change. You will work closely with the Governance team and keep them informed of key compliance requirements affecting scope and project delivery to ensure smooth handover to inflight status. You will provide traceability of regulatory requirements for regulatory changes on the mandatory list, including where these are outside a formal project delivery structure for use by the portfolio and compliance health teams.

You will develop strong relationships with business partners, supporting the overall business agenda, whilst maintaining necessary functional independence. Furthermore, you will report to Group Executives and Board on horizon scanning and pipeline of proposed regulatory changes (including the identification, ownership and progress of matters on the mandatory list).

What do I need?

A strong candidate will bring relevant experience across Compliance, Risk or legal function. You will have working Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory environments and experience in managing implications in banks. You will be experienced in working with complexity and ambiguity and in a large organisation and managing divergent drivers and objectives to produce optimal overall Group outcomes. You will hold excellent stakeholder management skills and be highly proficient with both your verbal and written communication. You will be asked to challenge and hold your own amongst some key people across the organisation and provide your thought leadership on several matters.
