The Role

In this full time permanent Grade 3 Occupational Therapist role, you will be based at Epworth Rehabilitation Brighton with opportunities available at other Epworth sites on occassions. You will be responsible for the day to day leadership and development of the inpatient Occupational Therapy Team. You will be part of the wider Epworth Occupational Therapy team and report to the Deputy Manager Occupational Thearpy.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing excellent patient care to a varied clinical caseload
  • Mentoring and supervising Grade 2 & 1 Occupational Therapists and AHAs
  • Being a key liaison with the multi-disciplinary team and drive innovation and patient experience
  • Supporting the Deputy Manager with leadership responsibilities
  • Leading by example by living the Epworth values

To be successful in this role…

You will need to demonstrate that you are a driven leader who is team orientated, approachable, compassionate and accountable. Your communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise respectfully with patients, colleagues and key stake holders from a variety of backgrounds. You will need to demonstrate that you are flexible and have the ability to respond and adapt to quickly changing circumstances.

You will have

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • A minimum of 7 years clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • A driver's license and willingness to drive with patients in the car
  • Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting
  • Previous experience working with private health insurers, TAC, VWA & DVA is desirable but not essential
