THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join Origin’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Legacy Sites Team in a role that provides property and environmental management support in relation to our Legacy property portfolio.

Your focus will be to assist day to day management, monitoring, assessment and remediation of sites in partnership with our contractors, ensuring works are completed to acceptable standards, on time, on budget and in accordance with our commitments and obligations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional services within discipline, including environmental/project/property support and scope design.
  • Contribution to the development and implementation of management strategies to reduce and eliminate risks associated with legacy sites.
  • Contractor management, Including procurement, performance monitoring, review, and validation of works.
  • Liaising with personnel across departments e.g. Procurement, Risk and Compliance, etc
  • Ensure all work completed for Legacy Sites complies with all regulatory, development, planning permits and consent approvals required for each site and their proposed work program.

Whether you’re are a recent University Graduate looking for your big break, early in your career looking to enhance your skills and knowledge or have extensive experience seeking a career change we would like to hear from you.

You’ll need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, creatively, and analytically in problem-solving environments. You will have a good business acumen, an intuitive understanding of what is reasonable business practice, excellent communication skills and a commitment to stakeholder management.

To be considered you will have:

  • Relevant Professional Qualifications e.g. Environmental/Earth Science, Geoscience, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of current legislation, industry practiced national standards and guidelines to environmental and property management
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple teams
  • Ability to work independently in office or outdoor/worksite environment, and travel within Australia as required for short periods (1-2 days)
  • Enthusiasm for acquiring a diverse skill set and career development
