Working with our participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL), this role is based in Blacktown.

Working with our participants in Supported Independent Living (SIL), this role is based in Blacktown.
We are seeking workers that are flexible to work a variety of shifts to provide 24/7 support including morning, day, evening, or sleepover shifts.

About the Role
Support our clients based in supported independent living, by providing standard and complex care, as well as activity supporting them to develop their life skills, participate in community engagement, and work towards achieving their goals.
- Work a variety of shift times (including occasional sleepover shifts)
- Availability over a 7-day period
- Work in a varied role that will further develop your skills and experience
About You
A compassionate individual who genuinely cares about our clients by showing initiative in the support provided. A clinical background would be highly desirable.
Skills required:
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors and use behavior support plans
- Proven experience working with people with mental health
- Experience supporting participants with complex care needs, such as epilepsy management
- Ability to assist with taking medications
- Clear and comprehensive written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office, and other common systems
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III (minimum) in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent, and/or minimum 6 months experience in Disability, Aged Care, Nursing or other allied health fields
- Current National Criminal History Check, Working with Children’s Check, and First Aid Certificate. Must apply for new NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Must have Drivers License and access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle to transport participants
