We are the world's largest meditation community of 18 million people, from 120 countries speaking 50+ languages. We publish 70,000 free guided meditations and music tracks by 10,000 meditation teachers and musicians from around the world.

We have been featured by TIME, Forbes, The New York Times and Vogue, and our apps have picked up the Editors Choice award by Google, and App of the Day by Apple on multiple occasions throughout the world.

The Role

More time is spent on Insight Timer than all other meditation apps combined. Data is one of our key competitive advantages as we have more variety and depth than any other meditation app. This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the Growth & Data Science team at Insight Timer, whilst working closely with Product Managers and other key stakeholders.

As the Product Analyst you will be providing analytics and insights to our Product teams. The work will range from doing deep dives on specific aspects of the product, shaping and interpreting the metrics that define long-term success for any given feature, and developing hypotheses on what product changes might unlock significant value. You will gain a deep understanding of our users and product, being able to guide Product Managers and other key stakeholders through complex decisions that shape long-term product strategy.

The team includes ex-Google and ex-Atlassian employees and is advised by the former Head of Data Science at LinkedIn. You will work cross functionally and collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to bring your insights and ideas to life.

  • Be a key partner to the core product team, proactively providing deep insights into user behaviours, segmentation and habits to guide long-term product strategy
  • Conduct quantitative analysis of user behaviour to uncover issues or opportunities to improve our users’ experience
  • Communicate data-driven insights to your stakeholders using compelling visualisations that enable ideas to be actioned
  • Design core metrics for specific team efforts to monitor the success of team efforts and model trade-off decisions across product areas
  • Ensure that event-based analytics are implemented properly to achieve high data quality
  • Inform the design and analyse the outcomes of in-app tests and experiments

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative field - economics, business, statistics or similar
  • 2-5 years of experience working on product analytics or similar fields
  • Familiarity with analysis around retention, activation and engagement
  • Able to manipulate large datasets using data querying languages (SQL, BigQuery)
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, Amplitude)
  • Have strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Can clearly articulate ideas, frame problems, and offer solutions
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Passionate about the role of data in helping solve complex questions
  • Bonus: Experience with analysing data in scripting languages (Python, R)
