How will I help?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly regarded Economics team. This team is responsible for the economics deliverables of the St.George Bank, Bank of Melbourne and the BankSA banking divisions of the Westpac Group.

Reporting to the Chief Economist, you will join the Economics team as either a recent graduate from University or with 1-2 years’ experience in the field.

You will be dealing with a wide range of business bank customers from small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to major Australian companies across a diverse range of industries.

Your key responsibilities will cover a wide range of activities including but not limited to; customer-focused macroeconomic research, report writing, industry research, analysis, presentations, and media liaison.

What do I need?
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with a major in economics. You will have strong writing and analytical skills. You will also have excellent verbal skills, an ability to think on your feet and be able to adapt to changing priorities. You will work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate respect and passion for our challenging discipline. You will be a hard worker with a great attitude and integrity. You should also have the capacity to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
