WDEA Works various branches include the Federal Government’s jobactive and Disability Employment Service programs, Social Enterprises, Registered Training Organisation and the WDEA Works Foundation which has distributed over 1 million dollars to various groups around Victoria since 2004.

Job Description

About The Role

The successful candidate will work with both employers and jobseekers to find the best-matched individuals to meet the needs of local businesses. We need someone who is comfortable with proactively promoting our organisation and our jobseekers, and supporting and managing jobseekers as they work towards meeting their employment goals.

The right candidate will have a knack for customer service and a dynamic, confident personality that fits our supportive, team-driven culture. This role is about achieving results for jobseekers. We will provide tailored and focused professional development and training so you can meet your full potential and ensure our jobseekers can, too.

Desired Skills and Experience

In order to be successful in the role, you will possess:

  • Previous Employment Services experience (highly desirable)
  • OR Capacity to develop these skills as demonstrated by extensive relevant experience as an employee or employer in a variety of industries and awareness of the needs of employers and jobseekers in the local labour market
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including skills of negotiation and liaising with business owners within the Ballarat area
  • High level of professionalism in organising work and time-management
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes for clients and WDEA Works
  • Skills and experience in marketing and sales in a service industry setting, including the capacity to cold-canvass prospective clients and customers
  • General computer literacy and proficiency in applications such as MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel and Internet essential
  • Current Victorian Driver's licence
  • Current Working with Children check
  • Current Police Check
