The Wesley Hospital are inviting applications from experienced Administrators to join our team in a permanent, part-time Patient Liaison Officer position.

About the role:

Responsible for the pre-admissions and admissions of our patients, you will provide an exceptional level of quality and customer service through processing all planned and unplanned admissions in a timely and efficient manner. You will ensure all patients have financially consented to care, and accurately process and verify all details prior to admission.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to every patient of the Wesley Hospital and their families and loved ones during their admissions process
  • Processing all preadmission registrations and documentation via HABS in a timely manner
  • Liaising with relevant services providers to seek approval documents for admission
  • Providing estimates for hospitalisation costs in line with TWH fees and charges
  • Processing admissions accurately ensuring all documentation and payments are taken

About You:

To be successful you will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts
  • Ability to work Night Duty on Rotation
  • Prior Hospital Administration Experience (Desirable)
  • Understanding of Private Health Insurance and Health Fund Eligibility (Desirable)
  • Previous experience managing other staff (Desirable)

Please note: Hours of the role are within 06:00-03:00 with shift times including 05:30-16:30, 16:30-3:00 and 07:30-21:00 Mon-Sun. Please be aware that shifts range from 10 to 12 hours.
