The People, Culture and Safety (PCS) Department works in partnership with all divisions of Council with a focus on ensuring Council builds the capacity of its employees and business to achieve its long-term strategic and operational goals.

Community Services, Sport and Recreation Department

The department aims to build connected, creative, healthy and active local communities and enhance the lifestyle that residents of the Moreton Bay Region enjoy. This is achieved through the provision of support to community organisations; delivery of activities for residents; provision of community meeting and activity spaces; development of polices and plans; provision of early education services from Birralee Child Care Centre; and participation in Council’s response to, and recovery from disaster events. The Department employs approximately 81 positions and manages an annual operational budget of approximately $13.3M.

The Details

Term: Maximum Term Part Time - Up to 12 months

Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 1

Location: Strathpine

  • Up to $29.86 per hour + up to 12% superannuation + leave loading

Please Note:

  • Must be available to work 3-5 days per week (Monday to Friday) during university semesters 1 and 2 and full time outside of those semesters and during the university semester breaks
  • You will indicate throughout the application process if your preference is to work 3, 4 or 5 days per week during semester
  • Must be currently enrolled in university to apply
