We're looking for a Full-Time Patient Bookings Officer who will be responsible for the scheduling and booking of patient appointments at the Rockhampton, QLD site. This role is a crucial link between patient’s and clinical staff.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure a high level of patient service is provided including meeting patient needs, maintaining patient service levels and monitoring and reacting to patient feedback.

  • Customer Service for both face to face and telephone contact

  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient services of the highest quality

  • Respond to and resolve issues and provide a prompt service in line with expectations

  • Work with colleagues and other administrative staff to achieve efficient and effective management of the patient journey throughout the Practice

  • Book and confirm patients for Planning CT, Treatment, Nursing Review, Procedures and Consultations

  • Sound knowledge of all Oncology booking and treatment procedures

  • Promotion of an efficient, compassionate service to all patients, while maintaining a good working relationship with all staff members

  • Liaise with both internal and external support staff i.e. Imaging departments CNCs

  • Accurate and timely data entry into medical record system Mosaiq

  • Maintain appointment diaries and taking initiative to ensure sessions are fully booked

  • Incoming call management, timely response to messages and answering of calls within three rings

  • Participate in the identification and implementation of service improvement initiatives

  • Work Co-operatively within a multidisciplinary team, exchange information and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes

Who you are:

  • Diploma of Medical Administration or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated ability in an administrative role within a busy, customer focussed environment, medical preferred

  • Handle and resolve urgent matters and time critical medical appointments

  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Proven experience to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to use clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software

  • Collaborative approach in working with the wider Administration team and other internal customers, in line with the organisations values
