We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Officer to join our team for 14 hours per week. You will need to demonstrate a high level of competency in finance and computer skills. Previous experience with Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Dynamics AX 2012 system is highly desirable. Under the direction of the Finance Officer, you will assist with the financial administration of the School.
Typical duties performed include, but not limited to: Accounts Payable/Receivable, End of Month processing and General Ledger reconciliations. Effective communication skills is essential as the position requires regular connection with a variety of stakeholders (staff, students and parents) and general inquiries. Discretion and confidentiality are required for self and/or others in planning, selection of equipment, work organisation, services, actions and achieving outcomes within time constraints. Work is performed under general supervision. The successful applicant will work alongside the principal to manage payroll and leave administration. School and System specific training is provided to ensure competency and efficiency.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 14 hours per week - days negotiable upon appointment
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 3 - $29.05 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
