JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Patient Accounts Officer (Revenue Services) to provide high level administrative support to the Revenue Services team with regards to patient billing, raising invoices/quotes, submitting claims to health funds, data entry, receipting payments and debtor management.

The Person

Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate the organisations values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated accounts/administration experience in the healthcare industry particularly, patient accounts/revenue services area (essential)
  • Certificate III - Health Administration or similar qualification (desirable)
  • Medical terminology training or experience (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of the Privacy Act and experience working with confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Knowledge of a customised patient administration system (webPAS, IBA) and Microsoft Office applications
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to successfully communicate and develop rapport with a diverse variety of customers
