About the Role:
We are on the lookout for passionate teachers to join our team on a casual basis in this exciting role you will:
- Teach Agricultural studies and practical farm based activities
- Organise and deliver theory, practical, flexible and field based classes in specialist farming subject areas including farm operations, , machinery operation, livestock husbandry and low stress stock handling methods, OH&S, farm management, livestock management, sustainability and whole farm planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach approved recurrent and industry programs including Certificates II, III, IV and Diploma of Agriculture
- Liaise with farm staff, industry personnel and employers
- Identify requirements for staff development and participating in staff development activities
- Assist in the development and delivery of agronomy programs
- Participate in activities related to the delivery of programs, ie. Field trips
- Provide interim and annual reports of student results
Key Selection Criteria:
- A Certificate, Diploma or Degree relevant in both content and academic level and industry experience relevant to the Agriculture industry
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 including TAEASS502 and TAELLN411) or (TAE40116) are essential.
- Demonstrated currency of practice working within the relevant industry
- Ability to take a role in the effective operation and co-ordination of Agricultural courses
- Ability to teach and facilitate delivery of specialist agriculture subjects and related courses to groups which may have a diverse range of abilities, backgrounds, and readiness. Ability to use a variety of teaching modes and materials including flexible and field based delivery. Excellent soil and pasture production knowledge
- A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within the agriculture/agronomy farming industry
- Ability to co-operate in a team environment and, where necessary, work effectively with minimum supervision

- Salary range:
- $72.27 per hour for Casual Teaching -Certificate IV qualified
- $75.12 per hour for Casual Teaching-Diploma or equivalent (AQF5) teacher training qualified.
- $78.08 per hour for Casual Teaching-AQF6 teacher training qualified
