About The Role

ABC News Analysis and Investigation is seeking to appoint a Newsgathering Producer, based in the Ultimo Newsroom.

The Successful Applicant Will

• Work with the Deputy News Editor and newsroom leadership team to commission reporters and camera operators
• Anticipate coverage needs across all platforms through close engagement with national, regional and state teams
• Respond quickly to breaking news, delivering fast, accurate coverage across multiple platforms
• Develop a collaborative working relationship with local radio, regional and national news teams
• Be available to work across a variety of shifts, including afternoons and weekends
• Be a key member of the local leadership team, contributing to create a vibrant and engaged newsroom

About You

You are an experienced reporter and/or producer with advanced knowledge of news production in a multi-platform environment, including the creation of content for digital, mobile and broadcast platforms and in particular, breaking news.

You'll Also Be Able To Demonstrate

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced news environment
• Experience using audience data for insights and the latest trends in audience behaviour
• Ability to commission content for digital, mobile and social platforms
