About the Role

As part of CAE’s Asia Pacific (APAC) Strategy and Business Development team, you’re primarily responsible for drafting and executing the Capture Plan, leading the Proposal Team and managing the relationships with Key Account members in order to win new opportunities in the naval training domain.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have the following: 

  • Tertiary qualification (Masters in Business Administration is desirable). 
  • Minimum 10-15 years in Defence and/or Defence Industry, highly desirable to have defence service experience, important to have served in the Australian Defence Force. 
  • Background or solid understanding of platform simulation, Military Training Systems, Government Procurement mechanisms and Program Management at senior level. 
  • Experience and successful track record in strategic and tactical planning plus execution on major pursuit(s) with values of tens/hundreds of $M. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively at senior levels within large Defence industry or within a national defence organizations. 
  • Driven, motivated, positive, high energy with outstanding influencing and negotiation skills. 
  • Strong skills in strategic partnering, teaming agreements and subcontract positioning. 
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Commercial and business acumen coupled with balanced negotiation capabilities. 
  • Strong financial literacy leading financial model development, estimating, cost rollups and proactive risk management. 

Note: as the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance. Australian citizenship is essential.
