Qualified experienced registered psychologist or 5 + 1 Graduate Intern to join our professional consultancy located in Adelaide.

McPhee Andrewartha (MCA Group) is seeking to expand our team by securing the expertise of a qualified experienced psychologist or a 5 +1 Graduate looking for a paid internship and future work role. The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic organisation with 40 years’ experience operating out of Melbourne and Adelaide, compromising 4 Directors and a team of talented professionals. We are a boutique provider of organisational consultancy solutions that combine the best elements of individual wellbeing and organisational psychology. We provide an extensive range of services to individual clients and to organisations in the public, not-for-profit, and private sectors.

You will have a desire to deliver services across our organisational offering and with private treatment clients. We provide ongoing professional development as a core element of our practice.


The successful applicant will work predominantly from our Parkside office, although there may be the requirement for you to work from home at times due to COVID restrictions. We provide a laptop and mobile phone to ensure that all practitioners have the technology to pivot in such a scenario.


The Graduate Internship will meet all of the requirements of the AHPRA 5 + 1 Internship Program with supervision provided by an APHRA recognised external supervisor, at no cost to the provisional psychologist. Ongoing employment is proposed on completion of the Internship.

To be considered for this role as a qualified registered psychologist you will possess:

- Full registration with AHPRA as a psychologist.

- Medicare provider registration or eligibility.

- Minimum of two years post registration experience in a counselling setting, preferably including brief interventions.

- Experience providing organisational consulting services, especially those focussed on leadership, wellbeing, organisational culture and performance.

- Experience with adult psychometric assessments.

- High motivation, flexibility and proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

- A willingness and availability to travel intrastate and on occasion interstate.

- Experience using telehealth for individual counselling and online delivery of consultancy services using platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

To be considered for this role as a 5+1 Graduate Intern you will possess:

- Eligibility for Provisional registration with AHPRA.

- High motivation, flexibility and proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

- A willingness and availability to travel intrastate and on occasion interstate.

- Familiarity with telehealth and online platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.


Experience in organisational culture and change, leadership coaching and development programs, mediation, and alternate dispute resolution processes will also be highly regarded.


Applicants are also required to have the following:

- Current Australian Drivers Licence.

- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency or eligibility to work in Australia.

- Current National Police clearance, including working with children and vulnerable persons.
