We are seeking a passionate, reliable and a driven person to join our team as our Environment and Sustainability Manager.

Ideally you will possess a degree qualification in Environmental Science and Management with strong report writing skills, knowledge of applicable laws and codes, Bushfire protection and landscape conservation

The role requires:

• Development of the scope of works for environment/ land management tasks and projects
• Planning and scheduling of the agreed works
• Quality Assurance of works delivery and regular site inspections and meetings
• Undertaking audits to prepare the Bushfire Mitigation Works Programmes.
• Assist our clients with strategic bushfire mitigation planning and advice.
• Undertake HR fuel load assessments and Fire Trail audits.
• Prepare annual weed mapping and reports, deliver in-house weed management works and identify threatened species found on sites and provide advice on their management
• Strategic planning for environmental management works, provision of advice to clients regarding recommendations for the strategic planning and prioritised environmental works.
• Our contract areas include the Greater Sydney and Hunter Regions with smaller sites located throughout northern NSW working with Commonwealth Government lands

You will also have the ability to work independently, and as part of the management team

Essentials

• Degree in environmental science and management
• Current drivers licence
• Knowledge of current environmental legislation
• Must be an Australian Citizen

Desirables

• Experience in maintenance of fire trails
• AQF3 Chemical handling certificate
• Experience in supervision of staff/managing contractors
• Experience and qualifications in bush regeneration and/ or bush fire management.
• Strong skills in excel, word & GIS
• Current first aid certificate
• WH&S white card
