Contract to 30 June 2021 working with Power BI. Potential for extension
Your new company
Hays IT in Brisbane are currently working with a local government agency focused on providing community services and facilities.
Your new role
In this role, you will join the Operational/BAU Team. You will be assisting in various areas of the council such as Facilities Management, Property Management, Insurance, Claims and Asset Management. These areas are currently running several projects and need assistance to make data driven decisions.
The successful applicant will be responsible for consulting with internal stakeholders such as engineers, lawyers and procurement specialists to gather, develop and validate, requirements and technical specifications for the implementation of Power BI. The focus will be on gathering information around the KPIs and metrics of current projects and looking for ways to demonstrate value in terms of scope, budget and people.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in Business Analyst roles
- Ability to deliver high quality technical specifications
- Proven experience creating dashboards in Power BI
- Ability to elicit user requirements in a complex technical and stakeholder environment
- High level communication skills, including strong representational and liaison skills
- Ability to deal with complex issues, multiple users, concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities.
- Ability to produce thorough and detailed business requirement documentation to specified formats
Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable

In this role, you will be offered an hourly rate between $50 - $70 per hour + 9.5% superannuation, a contract to 30 June 2021 with potential extension.
