About the role:
Provide expert clinical consultancy in Psychogeriatric that supports the delivery of patient care within the Tamworth Community Health Service, with potential district-wide application as a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2. As a lead clinician, provide an expert clinical consultancy in a clinical services team supporting the delivery of excellent patient/client care within an area of speciality.

This is an autonomous position, working with older people with cognitive decline and their families. This position covers Community, Acute Services and residents in Aged Care Facilities. The successful applicant will be supported in this role by the Nurse Unit Manager and Director of Nursing at Tamworth Hospital. Clinical support is also available via the Network of HNE Services

About you:
You are a dedicated and qualified Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 with a background in Mental Health or Gerontology and an understanding of Services for older people. You have excellent communication and problem solving skills with a demonstrated capacity to evaluate current clinical practice within the area of specialty and recommend interventions that mitigate risk and minimise impact on the organisation.
