An exciting opportunity exists for a recent graduate of University studies in Radiography, to be appointed to an available casual position. The successful applicant must have a strong interest in and commitment to ongoing education and skill development to achieve Level 2 grading and experience.

What you'll be doing

Working in supervised position as Radiographer, predominantly within general x-ray modalities including X-ray, mobiles and clinics. As a casual, it is understood that reporting will need to be submitted to APHRA to support completion of progress within the first 48 weeks, however as a casual the specific number of hours per week cannot be exactly defined.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in radiology and current/provisional AHPRA registration with the MRPB of Australia. Current EPA IA14Y Radiation Licence.
  • Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  • Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Radiology service to consumers, carers and families requiring radiographic and associated tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
  • Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
