About the organisation 

Operating for over 70 years, they are the largest disability & NDIS provider in Western Australia today. They have a rich and proud history of supporting clients & families living with intellectual disabilities, helping them to achieve their goals and dreams in life. Due to ongoing success they are now looking for suitably qualified Positive Behaviour Support Consultants to join their growing therapy team & provide support to clients across Perth and coastal parts of WA. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Assess & identify the clients behaviours of concern 
  • Work collaboratively with support staff & team members to develop & provide functional behaviour assessments 
  • Develop & implement high quality & effective Behaviour Support Plans 
  • Monitor & evaluate the clients Behaviour Support Plans & make changes if necessary to ensure behaviours of concern continue to decrease 
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team & play an active role in growing the service

To succeed in this role this is what you will need 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Social Work OR extensive experience in providing PBS plans 
  • Full registration with the relevant membership body (AHPRA, SPA or AASW) - highly desirable 
  • Eligible for NDIS registration to provide 'Proficient' Behaviour Intervention (or be working towards)
  • Demonstrated experience in providing Positive Behaviour Support to clients 
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans 
  • The ability to travel throughout Perth & some parts of WA as the service grows
