Asset Maintenance

The Asset Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and renewal of Council’s assets throughout the region. The areas of responsibility are primarily Roads and Drains, Parks, Cleansing, Construction, Fleet and Building and Facilities infrastructure. The Asset Maintenance department is one of the largest departments within Council, maintaining essential community infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region.

The role

Your responsibilities will include planning and organising daily activities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness in line with Council’s work order system. You will carry out maintenance, construction, and cleaning work on Council buildings and facilities and report on maintenance needs of buildings, being able to use initiative to deal with reactive maintenance on the spot.


To be successful in this role you must possess a construction induction card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) and a trade qualification in carpentry or other relevant field. You will have experience using relevant building, carpentry and maintenance equipment as well as undertaking manual tasks in a safe manner.


This role with Council offers excellent working conditions, generous employer funded superannuation benefits (up to 12%) and a 9 day fortnight in addition to four weeks paid annual leave per year.

Council’s office locations have local parking on-site and are in close proximity to public transport networks.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
