Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the management of the NSW Government’s social housing portfolio. They are currently seeking a Business Support Officer with Construction Industry or Media response experience to join their team in Parramatta with an opportunity to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 4-month temp assignment, with a potential to extend. 

Working within the Media and Reporting of the Construction Delivery Division, you will be required to deliver a wide range of business and administrative support services to the Director, Construction Team and wider Shared Services Team to achieve Departmental objectives

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties:

  • Deliver professional customer service, answer enquiries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor and manage the Delivery Division Executive Inbox
  • Complete diary and travel management on behalf of the Director
  • Prepare high level documentation including briefing notes, correspondence, agenda’s, meeting minutes, presentation material and reports
  • Provide a wide range of administration support for the entire Shared Services Division including system and IT access, security, training coordination and fleet management
  • Support the Media and Reporting team with media requests and releases by routinely updating fact sheets on a monthly basis
  • Deliver high level support to the Manager Construction Quality and Admin including maintaining Project Management systems (PMS), TRIM, timesheets and tender panel requests
  • Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • End to end financial administration duties including invoicing, goods receipting, purchase orders
  • Ordering stationery and maintaining office equipment
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide adhoc support as required
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following:

  • Minimum 1 years’ demonstrated Business Support experience
  • Public Sector experience highly advantageous
  • Communications, Media or Construction Industry experience desirable
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Takes initiative, with a strong team and task focus, willing to assist in other areas as required
  • Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with TRIM, SAP and MS office Suite
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
