Specific skills required include:

  • Excellent English and communication skill; both written and verbal
  • Australian residency
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience working in various aspects of technology (security, networking, applications)
  • Demonstrable client-based consulting experience
  • Clients will be primarily Sydney CBD based but the availability and ability to travel to regional or interstate areas and to work remotely is required.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scanning and penetration tests in one or more of: network infrastructure, web applications, mobile applications, Wi-Fi networks, SCADA, IoT, etc
  • An ongoing understanding of current and emerging security threats and technologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of network and internet technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, encryption technologies and standards, VPNs, IPSEC, VLANs, VoIP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, routing protocols, etc.)
  • Experience with technical security analysis (eg Active Directory analysis or Firewall Rule analysis)
  • Working knowledge of web development technologies and coding skill such as ASP.NET MVC, Enterprise Java a positive
  • Working knowledge of assessing the secure configuration of cloud-based services such as AWS and Azure.
  • Programming and scripting skills desirable such as C, PHP, PERL, Python, BASH, PowerShell, etc
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of network analysis tools such as NMap, Burp suite, and security testing tools such as Nessus, Metasploit, Fortify, etc.
  • Detailed understanding of security technologies (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM)
  • Experience with client development, relationship building and business development support activities (pre-sales)
  • The successful candidate may hold or be willing to pursue professional certifications such as OSCP, CREST, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, etc.
