Hays is working with a renowned Canberra Builder that has been servicing Canberra's residential and commercial industry for nearly 40 years. They are a trusted, widely recognised bespoke home builder as well as having strong capability in fitout and refurbishment projects.

Your new role
As the Senior Estimator, you will work within a team of experienced estimators across the residential arm of the business. This role will ensure the best outcome for our clients and the business, with the key responsibilities being:

• Interpret plans & specifications to quantify & produce accurate estimates in a timely manner.
• Obtain quotes & costings from suppliers and sub contractors to meet specified materials and labour for budgeted works.
• Monitoring & approval of costs during construction.
• Maintain master BOQ's for accurate & effective cost control.
• Prepare variations as required.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Communicating clearly and efficiently with all stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will need:

• Proficient in using Databuild
• Must have experience in a similar role – residential projects
• Ability to take the lead and ownership of your role whilst being a great listener and team player
• Positive and proactive person who can contribute to our overall company culture
