Excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team at Fleurieu Cranes.

About the Opportunity

This role is with our valued client Fleurieu Cranes and will be based at their Head Office in Wingfield, SA.

The company is now in the market for an experienced dynamic and capable bookkeeper who can function autonomously to take up the role of internal bookkeeper.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Month end journals
  • Monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Monthly labour and fuel project costing and processing
  • Preparation of monthly fuel tax credit calculations
  • Preparation of BAS
  • Maintaining Asset Register and Finance Leasing Register – including processing of depreciation and interest expenses into ledger
  • Providing assistance and back up to Payroll, Accounts Receivable & Payable
  • Review and approve payment runs, ensuring all appropriate checks have been completed
  • Assisting with preparation of cash flow forecast
  • Intercompany transactions - raising intercompany charges
  • Compiling information for fringe benefits tax calculations
  • General finance administration
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

About You

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Extensive experience in a similar (bookkeeping) role with a high-level understanding of bookkeeping and general financial management
  • MYOB experience coupled with good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working in either commercial or residential construction, engineering, or manufacturing is desirable
  • Proactive with initiative in actioning, processing and dealing with paperwork is paramount
  • Disciplined work ethic and effective communication and interpersonal skills

You are highly disciplined with a natural drive to set the best standards and have the ability to effectively manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships.
