Your day to day

If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand as a Guest Transport Manager. As a Guest Logistics Manager, you will be the orchestrator of all arrivals and departures to and from Hayman Island. You will be the contact point for all guests arriving by helicopter, seaplane, luxury launch transfer or private yacht, as well as making sure all guests are manifested and arrive and depart at their appropriate times. You will also be the central contact person for any inquiries from other colleagues and external travel partners. In our unique environment, arrival and departure allow for two huge experiences of guest interaction and first impression of the resort. These experiences rely on someone who can work fast paced in an agile environment as well as being able to constantly strive for accuracy, improvement and safety. As Guest Logistics Manager, you are responsible to ensure all arrivals are on time to the island, Porters receive the correct times to collect guests and luggage, departing guests are scheduled on-time to make flights, Guest Service Agents are aware of the vessels they are hosting and that all guest luggage arrives safely to the appropriate locations, all while achieving exceptional service standards and delivery for extremely discerning guests.



What we need from you

Ideally, you will have a minimum of one year of previous experience within luxury hotels within other remote resorts that have dedicated arrival and departure transport. As Transport Manager you will need to be able to effectively and independently manage your time as well as assist your team manage theirs. A problem solver with the capability to turn issues into opportunities, with strong communication skills and the ability to think outside the box. You will need to be able to handle pressure and be approachable for guests who might question arriving or departing details. As well as understanding logistical sides of manifesting, creation of vessel time tables and strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook in particular). You will have experience as a Duty Manager and have been a Front Office Supervisor with extensive Opera knowledge. You are able to make the challenge look easy and effortless. You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open Australian driver’s license and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required; commencing from earlyMarch 2021.
